Dancing On Ice’s new judge Katarina Witt on posing naked, being spied on and romance on the rink

But it’s her wild life away from the rink that made her an international celebrity... earning her the nickname Sex On Skates.
The German figure skater has posed naked for Playboy, turned down billionaire Donald Trump, been spied on by secret police and even been stalked by a killer.
It’s enough to make anyone want to hang up their skates...
But Katarina, 46, who has presented the German version of Dancing On Ice for two years, is back in the limelight, eager to shake up the ITV1 show’s panel with her feisty no-nonsense approach.
“I’m going to tell it to the contestants as it is,” she says. “If I like somebody I will rave about them. But if I’m not happy with something I say it too.”
She will replace Jason Gardiner, who was notorious for cruel put-downs that reduced contestants and fellow judges to tears.
But this year’s hopefuls should not expect an easier ride. Katarina says: “If I see someone’s not taking the competition seriously, then I will be critical.”
She certainly has the credentials. She won a figure-skating gold medal every year between 1983 and 1988, triumphing at two Olympics, four World Championships and six European Championships.
Then in 1998 she was offered a reported $1million to pose naked for Playboy. To their surprise she agreed and stripped on a beach in Hawaii for the shoot. The issue was the second Playboy in the magazine’s history to sell out... the first was issue one in 1953, featuring Marilyn Monroe.
Katarina, who reckons her Size 10 figure has barely changed since then, says: “I did Playboy because I wanted to be provocative. The image of figure skating is so nice and clean and cute... I wanted to break that.
“I wanted to get away from being an ice princess. I wanted the pictures to be sensual and natural and that’s what they were.”
Not surprisingly she has attracted many admirers, not all of them welcome.

She also attracted the less sinister but still unwanted interest of the tycoon Donald Trump, who asked her for a date. Katarina says: “He gave me his private number but I didn’t call. He said I was the first person to do that. I joked, saying, ‘Somebody has to start a trend’.”
She admits finding love has never been a priority and she has yet to settle down. But she would like to see romance on the rink between the Dancing Ice contestants.
She says: “I want to see sex appeal. I think it’s a good thing if this year’s couples have a strong bond and great chemistry. It makes their skating better and it’s really romantic.”
Katarina’s route to stardom began aged 12 when she took up skating to escape her poverty-stricken childhood in communist East Germany. As the hard work paid off and she became successful, she refused to fit the skater stereotype. She wore daring outfits, flirted and blew kisses at men in the audience.
Her flamboyance made her a star, but her success coincided with a time when Germany was still divided. Fearing she would defect to the West the Stasi secret police tracked her every move.
Now Katarina is determined to use her skating experience to make this series of Dancing On Ice the best yet, although she admits she has never watched the UK version. “The only contestant I know is Charlene Tilton,” she says. “As a little girl I wasn’t allowed to watch TV. But we were occasionally allowed to watch Dallas. I know her as this blonde cute girl, so it’s funny to see how she’s moved on.”
She is also excited to be working with Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Robin Cousins and Karen Barber.
She adds: “This year’s panel will be the best yet. Robin is a brilliant, elegant skater. Louie Spence is flamboyant and has a great dance background. I can promise you all this year’s series will be one to remember.”

Irina Shayk strips off for yet another lingerie shoot…
A stunning new campaign featuring Russian lingerie model Irina Shayk was unveiled today.
The photographs, for Italian lingerie brand Intimissimi, showcase the model - girlfriend of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo - showing off her figure in a selection of pretty underwear.

Posing in cheeky red satin knickers embellished with a bow, and modelling a diaphanous black lace camisole in another, Ms Shayk demonstrates just why she is in such high demand as one of the world's top lingerie models.
It is the latest in a line of several campaigns the model has shot with Intimissimi's parent brand Calcedonia, who were one of the first lingerie brands to 'discover' Ms Shayk.
Just last week the model posed topless on the front cover of Esquire magazine, and in an interview inside revealed that she had been offered 'so much money' to pose naked for Playboy magazine.
But despite feeling more than comfortable stripped down to skimpy briefs, Ms Shayk said that baring all would be a step too far.
'I would never do Playboy. Yes, I am a lingerie model, but I have class. Playboy offered me so much money last year. I was like: "No. Way."
'Alright Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer did it. But they did it at the end of their career and it was classy. I think of myself as a cover girl. But I would never do some kind of cheesy magazine.'
The model, who graced the cover of Sport Illustrated's coveted swimsuit issue last year, also spoke of her love of high heels and short skirts - claiming boys didn't like her when she was young and that she was picked on because of her darker complexion.
She said: 'I love high heels from the age of 10! Short skirts and then high heels. My classmates used to make fun of me. Like, "Ooh, she’s so skinny and she’s wearing high heels.'
'But I just wore what I like and I didn’t care about people’s opinions, the same as I don’t care now. Boys never liked me at school. They made fun of me ‘cos I had dark skin.'
She also remarked that being stupid is not the way to secure a long and fruitful career.
Irina said: 'No one wants to work with a stupid girl. You have to be beautiful on the inside, then people will want to continue to work with you.
Ms Shayk met Ronaldo last year after they modelled together for the Armani Exchange campaigns, and are said to have been dating since early 2010.
In February last year Irina and Ronaldo were reported to be engaged after he apparently jetted all the way from Spain to New York to propose to the Russian beauty on Valentine's Day.
The Real Madrid star is already father to a baby boy. Ronaldo became a father on June 17 when a mystery woman gave birth to Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.
His mother Dolores is helping raise the baby between Madrid and Portugal. The identity of the baby's mother has never been revealed.

Yes, according to reports and these photos, Elin Nordegren ex-wife of Tiger Woods.... bought a $12 million home in North Palm Beach, Fla., but didn't like it, and has plowed the whole thing.
The house, which had six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, is now just rubble...
